The Problem We're Solving
If you've ever tried to run a prediction competition with your friends, you know the options aren't great. Spreadsheets are tedious to maintain. Most dedicated apps put you in a public pool with thousands of strangers. And virtually none of them are built with Arabic-speaking fans in mind.
What we actually wanted was simple: a private space where a group of friends could predict match scores, see a live leaderboard, and argue about who made the better call. No strangers. No complexity. No bad UX.
That's what Tippna is designed to be.
Who Is Building This
Tippna is being built by a solo developer based in Amman, Jordan. It's a passion project — not a VC-backed startup. The app is being built with Flutter for the mobile client, NestJS for the backend, and PostgreSQL for the database.
Being solo means decisions are made quickly and without committees, but it also means launch timelines are realistic rather than aggressive. We would rather ship something solid than ship something broken.
Why Privacy Matters to Us
Most social prediction platforms make your activity public by default — your picks, your record, your ranking among strangers. We think that's the wrong model for what most friend groups actually want.
Tippna is designed so that your group's data — who's in it, what people predicted, how the standings look — is only visible to the people you invite. There are no public profiles and no directories. If you share a standings link, you are choosing to share it. Nothing is public by default.
The MENA Audience
Football is enormous across the Arab world — and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with its expanded 48-team format, is generating enormous excitement in the region. We're building Tippna specifically with Arabic-speaking fans in mind, with a full RTL Arabic interface from day one.
This is not a translation job done at the end of development. Arabic support is being built into the app's architecture from the start.
What Stage Are We At
As of early 2026, Tippna is in active development. The core backend is built and tested. The mobile app is in progress. We are targeting a launch on Android and iOS ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026, which begins in June 2026.
The website you are reading now is live ahead of the app launch so that interested users can join the waitlist and so that we can begin building an audience before launch day.
